What is your favorite animal at the zoo?

Yeah, that's the only problem:( -They're native to Africa.... If I could buy one as a pet I would! BUT I think I read something about how they once harbored Yellow Fever and there was some huge outbreak. Apparently they could carry the disease without actually contracting it, so, between that, where they're located and the fact that they're nocturnal animals may be the reasons they're not the MOST popular pet! :D

we have a great zoo here in Melbourne Australia, I saw in the news they have a new section for the monkeys where you can sit inside next to a glass wall they are outside but they come up to the window and really look in to see what you are doing....and they are in a natural type of area...I must go and see it....

Glad that I reminded you. I have not been to the zoo in a little while myself. We have a small zoo here in Delaware so I usually go to the Philly or DC zoos to see the animals.

Giraffes are very nice animals as well. Our zoo here is small and doesn't have pandas either so I have to go to DC to see them.

Monkeys seem to be the most popular here. :-)

I have never been to a real safari. Nothing wrong with not being a fan of zoos. Some people don't like seeing animals caged like that.

I would like to make friends as well as make money but so far I have only made one friend through here that I instant message now. It is a great experience on mylot.

The gorillas seem to be pretty popular here. :-) They are neat to watch. Just don't make them mad. LOL
