It depends. If you want to get better...I can't help any. If you want a friend who understands what you're going through, I can help. I'm a wife, a mother, and have had it for years, so I know how it is. If you want to talk, send me a private message.

If there is any way that you could afford it, I would really recommend therapy. I was very skeptical at first, but therapy helped me. The other thing that helped was that I finally found the root cause. Often anorexia is more than just wanting to be thin, it's wanting to have control over something. It didn't help that I hated who I was. As soon as I discovered that I loved who I was, it was like I didn't even have to battle anorexia anymore. Basically, for the last few years my entire struggle has been lifted away. If you would have told me more than 5 years ago that I would someday go months without stepping on a scale and not care what I ate, I would have thought you were talking crazy to me. But that's how I am now.

I wouldn't say that I struggled with anorexia but I definitely developed an eating disorder at one point in my life. Basically I felt like everything else was spiraling out of control and there was nothing I could do. If it is an image issue that is plaguing you, then maybe you should try to focus on something else. As women we all to some extent obsess over our appearance. But don't let it affect your health, you have three children and a whole life ahead to waste. Maybe you should seek help from your physician.
