Migrating from USA to UK

I am wondering if there are any Americans that is married to a British Resident. And if so, if you could possibly give me some hints into what I need to do as far as getting settled to be with my fiancee that lives in the UK. Sometimes the website especially for visa's are not accurate sometimes. Just wanted a 2nd opinion. TY..:)
