I actually went to both & I was also home-schooled. I prefer home-schooling. That's how I'm going to teach my kids.

I went to public schools and my oldest son goes to a public school ~ my youngest will start a public school next year. if your trying to figure out which school would be best for your child, i would suggest checking their test scores vs the state average and also the surrounding schools in your area (thats what we do) to see what kind of education your children will be getting.

I think in a sense both are public schools, but thats just my opinion. I don't know if ones better than the other, but as long as the child likes the school, then it doesn't matter either way.

i went to public shool, and kids from my school went off to harvard, and a few other really good schools, i dont think theres really a differance in the two, its just the students willingness to learn, and to do his/her work. if someone does all their work in a public or private school, i think they will of both had an equal education.

I went to Private School and they always have strict rules. I used to go to a school run by catholic nuns, It was quite fine. My daughter is in Public School and I can't see no difference between them except for the tuition fees,Private school is more expensive than Public School. I guess if you go to Harvard It'll be better, don't you think?

I went to public schools and they were great! I think it depends on the teachers.

Hmm... well I go to a public school. I always have gone to a public school because, why would I pay for it if I can get it for free? Public schools tend to help out in the social aspect, as there are many different cultures, ethnics, and groups of people there. It really gives you a chance to meet new people and learn about different races. At private schools, however, you are around almost the same people because they pay for their education. Public schools are better :]

i was in a public school but i think that the private one is better cause you can chose your teachers and you can feel the importance of studying because you pay for it

I went to private school all my life, and once I hit the"real world" and started making friends who went to public schools it truly amazed me how much they didn't learn. If I had to hire a high school kid for anything, I'd take a C-student from a private school over an A-student at a public school, unless the public school is exceptionally well-known for academics.

I went to a public school, but my friend went to both, public and a private catholic school. She felt the public school was better then private. I think you have more freedom in a public school than you would in a private one.
