I remember him and trust me, there were far worse gimmicks than that. Doink the Clown comes to mind. Bastion Booger is another one. I think he was around the same time that Duke was. The Red Rooster and the Gobbledy Gooker are the worst though. I feel so bad for anyone that had to dress up in a chicken costume for their gimmick.

That is a tough question to answer. Personally, I liked a lot of those colorful characters. I was watching You Tube and I came across a character named Phantasio who wrestled in WWE/F in 1995. He was doing all these different magic tricks and crap. There was also a wrestling plumber who went by the name T.L. Hopper. I'd say Phantasio would be the worst or in the top five, maybe.

Those gimmicks are so bad that I don't even remember them and I was a regular watcher back in 1995. I think Vince McMahon has had way more bad ideas than he has had good ideas. I wonder what the WWE would be like if Hulk Hogan hadn't fallen into his lap. What if never had this highly charismatic, highly popular megastar. What would he have done to build the WWF/WWE brand?

I didn't have cable or satelite in '95, so I missed out. If I had seen Phantasio back then, I might've laughed. I guess I'm a little more tolerant of bad "gimmicks". Now these last few years of WWE,I've watched but have forgotten a lot of it, because a lot of it isn't tha memorable. Of course, Katie Vick and Al Wilson are both best left forgotten.

That is hilarious! The most recent thing I've seen of the WWE is when Project Runway had a challenge with like 7 of the WWE women. Do you know them? Some of their names were Candace, Leyla (spelling?), and Torrie. I'd hate to run into them in a dark alley. They could take any man down!

Surely there are worse gimmicks than sweater-vest wearing preppy friends (Rodney and Pete "Gas" both went to school with Shane McMahon and are friends in real life.) of Shane-O-Mac from the mean streets of Greenwich, CT? Personally, I liked these guys and their gimmick. I marked out when Pete "Gas" showed up on the Raw 15th Anniversary. They were great heels and have one of the most awesome entrance themes I've ever heard.
