French Doors

Is there truely any inappropriate place to have french doors in one's house?

I don't think so. If it's your house you can do whatever you want with it. An inappropriate place for french doors would be ones that lead to nothing (ie, second-story outside doors with no stairs or balcony).

it would be inappropriate to have a french dog door
