Do you get paid when going to the bathroom?

Just a thought, since I've been seeing tons of discussions again about getting paid here on mylot.
I have seen some questions that are asked the way that I don't what made them do it, what were they thinking or whether they do think at all!LoL
I've seen questions about tagging, if we do get paid for doing it so. I was totally shocked after seeing these types of discussions, there are even those who wants to quit mylot because they don't like the way they receive deductions on their earnings. Well they can do whatever they want, leave if they want to but don't spread irrelevant rumors and misleading lies on how we get paid here. As I've also observed that most of these people are posting discussions, one-sided. All they want to hear, see and read are opinions that only sides with what they think. Meaning, that they are not looking for opinions but to have someone to agree with what they've said. Well, it's lame, senseless and pointless doing that kind of thing here.
People ask too much, it seems that want to get paid for every move they make here. I guess these people wouldn't even dare to go to the bathroom, since they won't get paid for doing it!LoL
My simple advice, avoid spamming this site and sometimes make good use of your "coconut shells" because there's a purpose why it's put right in our heads. Let's try not think of money for some time, maybe think of something else worth doing for a clean fun.. =)

I'm taking a lot of bathroom breaks when I'm Mylotting, hehehe!
Sometimes, I'm thinking, instead of posting it as a discussion, why not just send a PM to friends, if they are getting paid for doing this and that. And I thought, they won't do that because sending private messages doesn't earn them money. Discussions today are indeed flooded with those types of questions. And there are days, that it takes me quite a while to look for very good discussions under the not so good ones.
These type of discussions, asking if this kind of activity gets paid, offers very limited information. Basically, it's just yes or no. And the information stops there. No new knowledge to be gained.
There are days that I don't do anything here at Mylot at all BUT drop by at my friends profile pages and leave something in their comments box telling that I'm thinking about them. I don't get paid for doing that but still I do it. Because I value the friends I've met here... and that includes you, raijin....
So could you please do something about your comment box!!! lol just kidding.:)

That's what I was trying to say here, thank you for elaborating it more!;)
Those post only provides limited and sometimes misleading informations, especially when the one who responds to it doesn't exactly understand what mylot is all about. There are instructions, rules and guidelines available here, these is where they'd get lots of informations concerning the payment here.
*I'm really sorry if the comment box on my profile page isn't still functioning well for you, I've been doing my best for the admin to fix it but still no action or response from them!:(*

I'm guessing some members don't even bother reading the Guidelines. As soon as they sign-up, they are too excited with the idea of being paid for their participation.
I understand that some members are trying to boost their incomes by finding ways to earn online. I'm not hiding the fact that I was one of those who was first attracted with the idea of being paid for my participation here at MyLot. But as I go along with my participations and finding out that behind the promise of a payment, a member can really find something more worthwhile and more valuable.
I've been here 8 months, and I've yet to reach my 800th post. Within those 8 months, I was only able to reach payout, three times. Sometimes I do have the extra time to do some MyLotting. But I stopped long ago to stop pushing myself to post discussions when I know for sure that the idea for a new discussion may not make any valuable contribution at all.
You are so right in saying that joining MyLot should not only be about money...money...money. Because if that's the main purpose of a member, they are in for a big disappointment. If they are looking for a large amount of money to be earned, then this isn't the place.
For 8 months of being a member of MyLot, I have learned that to be able to truly appreciate what this site has to offer, I need to put some heart in what I do. I know it may sound a little bit corny, but that's how I feel. And I don't mean putting some heart in always pushing myself to the limit for the sake of just earning the money.
I mean, just doing what I sincerely LIKE TO DO and not what I NEED TO DO. So, that's what I'm doing. I may be at a slow pace for the number of posts I've made but those numbers were all worth it.
And recently, I'm in the habit of uploading pictures of flowers. I don't just upload them for the sake of what I may earn, but because I think somebody else are enjoying looking at them. I like flowers myself and by uploading them, one by one, I'm learning in the process. Before, I'm only familiar with a handful of flowers. But now, when I see one, then I can name it correctly.

And just what Rocky Balboa says, "doing what ya gotta do!" =)
It's the passion which pushes us through, we not only come here to post and post and receive payment. Sometimes, we also need to be serious if we really want to gain on something. Be it money, friends and informations.
As for me, I just try to make some of my posts look and even sound funny. But sometimes it includes some sarcasm in it, not because I hate a certain person but because of what they do here. For those who cries foul in my discussions, then I guess they are guilty as charged.
I've also been trying to upload some photos on the "interest" section again, since I find less and less discussions to post and even read here. Still, I have more options to enjoy mylot even if I don't post and participate on discussions much!;)

I agree with you 100 percent. The way I have always looked at it, if I get paid a penny or two for every post I do, well then thats that much more I have now that before I started right. The world revolves too much around money these days that people have become so finicky about cents when they should worry about what really matters, life itself.

I agree with you jenn. A penny saved is a penny earned. And a penny earned is a penny you didn't have before. That's why I actually collect stray deposit containers around town when I see them. Hey, a nickel is a nickel, and some of the bottles are worth more than that, especially the glass ones and the larger glass ones. Maybe I make a dollar or two per month, but it's a dollar or two I didn't have before.

I believe most of them consider money as their life, don't you think?=)
If these people were motivated and was raised worshipping money, then I believe that they can all dream about it but they'll never achieve their dreams of becoming rich and all if all they do is sit around joining forums or PTP sites..

I agree with you on this. There are a lot better things to discuss than why they did this, and what "they " pay for. I like to get paid as well as the rest of the folks, but I also like to talk about things and see my friends. I do have good friends here. Good discussion friend. I think you and I will be hanging out here, even when everyone else is gone.

I'll definitely be here if ever the time comes of us not getting paid here anymore, I see mylot as just one of those reasonable places to visit on the net..
There's more than just earning here, and that's what they should try exploring at..

raijin..^_^
at last, this came out..
i always want to start something like this..
tons of members do ask about this and that all concerning of the money.
i hate it when they do that.
i even encountered a discussion saying, theres no point in replying on your own discussions because you wont get paid on it.
duh?
are they all paid for doing a single thing? if they are told you will be paid for responding to your own discussion, i bet they will flood their discussions with all of the money efforts.
what if it was told that you get paid for putting comment on others profile.. i bet your profile will be filled with tons of greetings and miscellaneous in no time.
its so obvious that people count what they do here.
after counting, they complained why they are paid less.
money is really something here.
no offense to others, but i see a lot of newbies doing these things.
the old members just stay cool and do what they have to do.
but whatever evil they tend to spread..... mylot is here to stay.. and we, you. me. all of our good friends will stay for sure, even if they throw all criticism.. i still love mylot.
take care raijin^_^

It's really hard to keep people from not thinking too much about money, most of them are too hasty in getting paid and earning on this site.
I just wish that people change their mind-set on this, sometimes we need to use our brain to think and pause for a while to understand what we want to know about this site even they do came here for the money.

I take my laptop with me if I am going to be there for a while so yeah I get paid when I go to the bathroom :)
You are absolutely right. Enjoy what you do here and don't waste so much time worrying about where every penny you get comes from.
Even if they took the earnings system completely away from this site I would stay here.

Yep, I just had enough skipping these types of posts everytime I search on the "new discussions" section. Spamming with one-liner questions, they should've instead searched before posting it since most of them were already posted and have been discussed.
It seems that you have wireless connection for that laptop, good for you to get paid!;)

I suppose that it is inevitable that there are some, largely new people, to MyLot that are interested in whether this is a site where a little money can be made. I think that as people discover that even on the internet, there is no such thing as getting something for nothing; a sense of desperation and disbelief sets in. My usual response to such posters is to tell them that if they want some intelligent comment and and observation tempered with a little money then walk on in. But this is not a get rich quick site. Similarly, I think that this is a great site to air opposing points of view. If we all agreed about everything, life would be very boring. So long as we are courteous with each other in the doing of it. This is a great site, let's keep it that way.

Actually I don't find this much of a joke or lame or whatever. In the REAL world (you know people who do go out and work eight hours a day at jobs where they talk to others in person...and there is NOTHING wrong with doing that or with those of us who can't do this for health or whatever, but I digress...)...er ya...In the REAL world, a friend of mine once got fired from a job for going to the bathroom too often. It was totally discriminatory on the part of the employer since she was the only woman over 50 in that environment and I really think he was looking for a way to get rid of her. The thing is she had certain health issues which many older women and men face, where they just NEED to go. They first started by saying it was a new policy that people would get docked for every minute over three minutes they spent in the bathroom. Do you believe they were actually timing people? Come on... we are talking about a company of several hundred people here. Finally, they told her she was spending too much time away from her desk and fired her. The thing is, she was also a very productive employee. She did as good or better job than others doing the same job. No company should ever have a policy of timed bathroom breaks or docking for time to go to the bathroom. It's a normal human function, we all do it, and some bodies require it more often than others.

Do you know why thats what people are worried about... because outside of the little change they pay you on this site.. this place isn't worth comming to. Thats what is keeping most of the people here, the fact that it pays them a bit of change a day. If this site stopped paying people I can almost certianly say that over half the users would leave and find another place. This site doesn't offer any other reasons really for most people to stick around. The majority of the discussions are lame and retarded, and when someone does start one on a subject that people actually care about the PTB delete it or ban the user. So money is why they are here... nothing more.
I'm here cause my friends won't get a damn myspace profile and just post in the forums over there.

Haha! Maybe you they just need a little tap on the shoulder, or it could be that they like more of being here!;)
You're definitely right on that, I'm very sure that people will stop coming here and leave this site if ever mylot stopped paying our participations here. Those lame and shallow-minded folks should use their brains for sometime, for their brains would cost more if ever there's an option to sell them. Since they don't use much of it, they're slightly-used and can be considered as good as new!LoL

Wow...good for your Raijin! Thanks so much for being the voice of sanity in the antics you described.
Like you I am a loyal member of Mylot and appreciate the opportunities it provides and the fact they pay us to do something we enjoy so much anyway. I absolutely agree with your closing comments..."There's a purpose why it's put right in our heads. Let's try not think of money for some time, maybe think of something else worth doing for a clean fun..="

Hehehe! I do enjoy put a little humor with a little sarcasm on it, thank you for liking my closing remarks!;)
There are times here where you get to see one-liner posts, some are flooding and spamming the discussion areas. And when I made an effort to respond to it, much more that I believe to at least take a credit for doing through a comment from that thread host and then see nothing, it frustrates me. The only post you'll get to see is another post and another and another, that's what others do here -making mylot as their source of living!;)LoL

Yes...those one-liners speak volumes about why the person is here. If they read the guidelines they'd discover that Mylot doesn't pay for one-liners...so they are defeating their purpose right off the top.
Those of us who love the site..and the wonderful community of members that make it up gain so much more than a few pennies a post. I am here when I am not working to earn waaaaay better earnings writing for magazines...because I value the connections I've made here. That is something money cannot buy...and it is what keeps me coming back. Having good Cyber friends like you shows that when we live by right principles things work for the good of the all.
Take care...and we will be in touch.

yes, i agree. the money will come but that should not be the reason for being on this forum
one time a boy was acting up and his mother said.."behave" and the little boy said he would "behave" if the mother gave him a dollar$ so the mother replied
"why don't you be good for nothing like your father?"
money is the poorest motiavator of people..but it seems to work so this is why the world is making the almighty dollar their goal..ideals should be what makes the world go around not filthy money (lucre) ___filthy lucre! the love of money is the root of all eveil..

It seems that there are people who are too serious in earning money, even here on the net they consider being here as business. Indeed, the love for this money is what makes people desperate and evil.
What I mean is, there are lots of things to talk about other than money. We do get paid here, which makes me think why are they bothered if ever they experience some deductions here as well as not getting paid by simply doing other things..

i don't follow this too much..and i don't even know how to see if there was deductions made as this is not important to me..as all things ..this will pass away as most things..but i will just enjoy the time here reading the discussins and commenting..even though i think i probably am achieving nada..but maybe?
even if one person gains some insight it would have been worth it..as maybe you just plant a seed in the mind of someone...
have a nice day..its always fun to come here..that is the main ting..FUN

initially i got this website message from a web-earning forum, and for this i join in quickly and dream to hava a good job, however, after several months, i have reallize that this dream will be never come true and then, i tired, even though that my lot deceived me and more other people like me. about a month later i turn to this forum again, because of its notion, they use money to improve our english read and speak ability, indirectly spread English culture, do you agree with my point of view?

I'm not really sure if mylot deceived me or any other members who's been here for a long time, but I'm pretty sure that it could be you who was deceived by whoever told you that you'll get rich here quick.
Using and being familiar of the English language is just one of the million good reasons why we spend time here on mylot, same with money.

I agree, Raijin, big surprise, huh? I didn't come here for the money, and I certainly don't stay for it! I come here to talk with my lovely friends, among which I am proud to count you, and spend time with them. The money simply doesn't mean anything to me - I mean, really, it's not enough to make any difference. I don't know, maybe it would be if I typed even more than I do, or probably if I opened more discussions, or responded to more instead of just commenting on other people's responses, but that's just not my aim. I love the discussions that I respond to and the comments made by my oh so clever friends, and that's what I come here for, period. For me, there just isn't any other point, Raijin. The fact that you posted this one doesn't surprise me at all - you're a wonderful person and you come here for the same reasons I do. Kisses to you, my waswit pangga/mahal.
