Okay first of let me say Johnny Depp Deserves an Oscar for this amazing performance. The actor who started his carrer playing a small role in A Nightmare on Elm Street has become one of the best actors in Hollywood. His latest film " Sweeney Todd" is a must see, but please refrain from letting small children see it because it gets pretty bloody. The movie was beautifully done and the actors and actresses were simply perfect in there performance. I was hesitant about hearing Johnny sing but you know what. Once he started singing in the opening scene I was awe struck! The scenery in the movie was perfect and just like Tim Burtons style with a dark moody feel to it. This movie will make you laugh, make you cringe in your seat, make you sad, make you surprised, and of course make you go "EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW". This is a movie i deffinitley recommend you to see ASAP.
I rate this movie a 9.7 out of 10

I wasn't so thrilled with their version of Mrs. Lovett (she seemed a bit too... sane, really), and I was a little annoyed at some parts that were left out, but I agree that Depp played the part fantastically, and of course the visuals were great. Nobody beats Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett, though.

Sounds typical for Johnny Depp! He and Burton like working together. First on Scissorhands, then Corpse Bride(also Very good). Now this. Haven't seen it yet myself. May have to wait for dvd release. But I am going to see it. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the review.
