Children potty train at different ages. You just have to look for some signs that they are ready or you are just going to drive yourself crazy. Every mother can't wait to get rid of the diapers but sometimes it takes longer than expected. Does he know when he poops in his diaper? Like does he say poo poo. Does he hide to go doodle in his diaper? Does he show an interest in sitting on the toilet?Does he ask to wear big boy pants? or underwear like daddy? If he shows some signs you could give it a try. It is alot of work. Some kids get the hang of it while others take forever. When I started to potty train my kids I used the really thick training pants. Not really a fan of pullups, they seem too much like a diaper. (maybe for nighttime) Had lots of accidents and washed out a lot of underpants.Lots of leaning over the toilet and dunking poo. I would take them to the potty every 30 minutes.Sometimes they went, sometimes they went right after they got off the potty. Don't start unless you yourself are mentally ready or you will stress yourself totally out. It can stress the child out too if they are not ready. Just watch him and see if he starts to show signs.I wish you the best of luck.

I started potty training my daughter when she was around 20 months. Everytime I'd see her about to do #2, i'd take off her diapers and make her sit on her potty. It wasn't easy at first as she resisted in sitting on her potty. After she'd be done with it, I would give her an M & M as a reward. Later on, I switched to stickers as a reward. Stickers which she would she'd stick onto a chart I taped onto our toilet door... one box was for "told mommy", the other for "made weewee" and the last for "made poopoo".
Now at almost 21/2 years old, the stickers have mostly been stuck on the "told mommy" and "made poopoo" box. She still pees in her diaper. I don't know when she'll start peeing in the toilet.
As for my 2nd child, i started toilet training her as early as 2 mos. Actually, it's not really toilet training, but elimination communication. My 2nd child has been pooping in the potty on cue, but there would still be rare times when she chooses to do it in her diaper instead. I think I'd be able to get my 2nd child out of her diapers at a much younger age. :D

I am potty training my 2 1/2 year now. What I did/am doing is. The first two months i just let him go when he wanted to. I would ask him do you want to use the potty and if he said no that was ok. After that I picked out a 3 days when I had no where to go. I got him up in the morning and told him that he was a big boy and he was going to wear big boy underwear unless he was sleeping. I put him on the potty every 30 minutes and if he peed he got a M&M if he pooped he gets a hersey kiss. He is now pee trained and no longer getting M&M's we are just working on the poop thing. He loves the big boy underwear. I did this with my oldest as well and work like a charm on him.
