is it one of the greatest movie ever made?

I think that its close up there i cant think of any movie thats as good made or interesting as it is. dont get me wrong theres are alot of good movies like scarface, god godfather, 300, but there only good to see onces but not over and over again. If you can tell me a movie thats better and tell me why, or agree with me explain why?

It is one of my favourites,very different for it's time,have watched it four times at a guess..the first three times had a little cry in places...for some reason my last viewing about eight years ago triggered something inside of me,and the flood gates opened.This lasted most of the way through the movie,my husband was very concerned,on retiring to bed I confided in him I felt I may die that evening,and in a way I did.
As I reflect back I feel this was the begining of a series of very unusual events that were to follow a week later,thus started my seek and find search.Yes for this reason I owe Forest Gump a thumbs up!

Good Morning rickitup and gandatwo,
I just watched Forrest Gump on T.V. the other night he seems to be very wise,smart and lucky and yes I have seen it before and will watch it again.
Gandatwo can you elaborate on why you felt you may die and what way did you? Also what things happened and what did you seek? You've got me very curious.

i agree, forrest gump is really the greatest dramatic movie ever made. it was really a heavy drama. imagine how he work so hard even with he has very low IQ. he still have achieve something that every single person could not. and he is very loyal to his one and only love.

it is by far my favorite movie
scarface 300 and the godfather are like way different then this. This has no violence. those do. Theres not really a comparison
i think Forrest Gump is in the top 5 best movies ever

How this movie goes through time is amazing, it is almost like gump takes part in every major event in Americas modern history, maybe even symbolising the American dream in the sense that in America anyone can make it.
