I think I always feel like this. Maybe it's because of all the ridiculous stuff I put up with at work I'm not sure. I am in the Army and even though we get a seperate allowance for housing I just don't think we make enough. I have a 3 year old son and I feel like I live paycheck to paycheck and it's not like we have anything extravagant to show for it. Then when I went in and did taxes I realized I made less than 20K last year. Call me crazy but I think that's absurd with the amount of work we do and the hours that the average soldier puts in. How do you feel about your job?

Yes you are not alone in this situation. Its what we call a ratrace for most of us who only rely on our monthly paycheck for our daily sustenance. Its so sad that in developing countries some employers take advantage of their employees - overworking them but underpaying them. Many work overtime but with no pay and its so sad to hear over and over again. I let myself at one point in that situation but then I told myself never again to let an employer abuse my skills. Well as they say... one of the best way to get out of this is find and start a business.. Hope you do.

I know how you feel, I just recently bought a new house and then got laid off from my job, it seems that every time you start to feel like you will make it something else comes along. Living Paycheck to paycheck is what almost everyone is doing these days and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight

You must not have a high rank. I remember when my ex was in the Army we didn't do okay until he was an E4. We were lucky enough to live in an area where housing was relatively cheap and our housing allowing paid for rent, water and the electric bill.
I do know what you mean about being under paid. I make okay money, but nothing I could live on if I were not married.

You are absolutely not alone. There are millions out there with the same feeling like you do. That's why we need to educate ourselves about money and learn how it work in our favor.
The good thing about it is that we can do something about it. And I pray and hope that you can find other legal means of increasing your income. Like having some online programs that will earn you some few bucks!
