What is difference in CDMA and GSM

There are many networks companies in market today and use the word GSM and CDMA. So what is GSM and CDMA and what difference between them.

First of all
GSM means : Global System for Mobile Communication
CDMA means : Code Divison mulitple Acess
TDMA means : Time Divison Multiple Access
one of the basic difference between between GSM (Based on TDMA) and CDMA is the way the carve up the bandwidth.
Each Bit of radio Spectrum used by a handset has to be shared with other people in the area . It is more or less the same as multiplexing for normal data land lines.
THe major difference between GSM/TDMA and CDMA is the way they divide those signals between mutliple users.
