Mnay dine out while some prefer to cook their own food at home.i was recently out with a couple of family friends on a dinner date and after paying the bill i checked to see what it would have cost to prepare the same meal for just the four of us at home, your guess is as good as mine.It would cost a lot less. The wine was also about 120% more expensive than the price at the stores.Would you rather eat at the restaurant or prepare your own meals at home, considering the cost?

I used to love to eat out when the food tasted alot better than what it does now. It is more expensive but worht it when you figure in the time it takes to cook it and the gas or electric bill.
I would rather cook and eat at home if I could get that restaurant taste in my food.
It would be alot cheaper and we wouldn't have to go anywhere for it.

Yes. that would be nice to try sometime. I wish I had the time and money to do those kinds of things also to learn more and eat better food.

hi there. i see you are from sa. me too. sometimes it isnt that much cheaper. at barcelos i bought 2 quarter chickens, 2 spicy rice and 2 home made rolls for R30. i wouldnt be able to make it myself for as cheap. but i do agree that some are ridiculous. R40 for a burger is daylight robbery.

I prefer cooking at home and it is less expensive. It gets more and more expensive, though. The price of fresh fruit and vegetables has gotten ridiculous! That said, I still enjoy eating out once in a while. It's nice to be served!

yes you are right, being served while eating out gives me the feeling that am king and its not such a bad idea if it does not become an habit as it will affect the purse if you really cant afford it or you may end up eating junk which is just not too healthy

its ok tostay at home and eat it helps to eat within youtr tummy, sometimes when you go out you get served more than you can eat and what happens to the leftovers i wonder but well the restaurant is not bothered about that as you have already paid

It is definitely more expensive to eat out. You can make your own meal for a lot less then you can buy it. However, there is something special about having your meal prepared, brought to you, and cleaned up for you. This makes it worth while to go out. Especially for those of us who hate cooking.
