My husband is 8 years elder to me but that actually is not a big issue. Here we always feel that a man should be elder to the girl he marries. That has been the tradition in India. Otherwise it is not a big issue at all. Things are changing here also. Understanding each other is the big thing one needs in marriage and nothing else.

no matter what age your in it doesnt matter just as long as your both emotionally mature to handle the relationship... according to research women mature faster than men... so i guess if choosing i will always suggest make the man older that you... at least 4 to 8 years older that you...

personally i don't think age really matters in a relationship, providing both people are consenting adults.
my boyfriend is 5 years younger than me, i will be 28 this year and he will be 23. i have had relationships where the men are older too, my sons father was 6 years older than me.

We have a difference of 10 year. I am 10 year older than my wife. It is mine pride. I can command and rule my family. She is very obedient and loving life partner. She is not enough literate than me. I am earning source for my family of four. I have an attractive income. We are living in newly build house. Our life is very ideal. I think the difference of 10 years is an ideal age difference.

My hubby is one year older than me.
I think there is no ideal age difference between partners. It depends on both partners if they can get along very well, whether one is so much older than the other. Age doesn't really matter in love relationship.
