Recognizing friends on MyLot

I was just wondering if anyone other than myself can discern certain discussions that are posted by their friends even before looking to see who started the discussion. I've noticed this especially since the MyLot digest began coming to my email inbox. In this case you don't have the friend's avatar to immediately recognize them. I have made a little game out of guessing from reading the first couple of lines of the discussion who posted it. At the end of the post I am usually right about who posted it. Have you ever tried this? Do you find certain elements that are sort of like a trademark in some friends discussions?

Oh, I think it's great fun, mummymo! I hope no one will take it in the wrong way. I just love games.

No I haven't tried that, but now you have my curiosity going, can I pick out who wrote a discussion??? Will let you know tomorrow if I remember to use it..:)

It really isn't that hard to do, carmelanirel. We are creatures of habit and establish certain patterns in our speech as in other facets of our lives.

I take my hat off to you! I guess my discussions stick out like a sore thumb? LOL, I am getting too predictable, that's another way of putting it LOL! Maybe I will have to change in that case, but then I wouldn't be the true wolfie. To be honest I don't have that skill and rely on my notifications so I know straight away who's started the discussion. It shows you are very intuitive and you are a people person, am I right?

I am a people person, wolfie, and I'm interested enough to really try to get to know the little giveaways of my friends, lol. I suppose you could call it intuition because I also am able to do things like finish a sentence when reading a book before I turn the page most of the time. I would never take you for granted though.

no not really, there are so many friends on my list that I do not really know what they would be writing about

Ooh, yes. I didn't realise that was happening but it is. Of course, I'm not as good as you and can discern "whom" but I can certainly pick one of my friends way of putting things. Sometimes, when I look at the name I'm subliminally thinking "of course" and slapping my forehead but it's not something I've concentrated on. I've been way too busy trying to catch up.
It'll probably bug me now and I'll be playing guessing games with myself....lol.

well...its something hard to notice as two people can have not have exact thought about some topic but still they will not post their true heart and make some changes....
So i think it will be hard for..me...but still if i know the person very well then i think i can make a fair judjement....LOL

I find that we all have certain phrases and expressions that we use often, samsense, that make us immediately recognizable to those who know us.

Yes I do recognize a friend's avatar immediately until it's changed. Then I am lost for awhile. Discovering different personalities in people can be really interesting. Also I can generally tell if someone is having a bad day but the "tone" of their fingers.

I've never tried that but it sounds like fun. I bet I could guess a couple of them myself. Some of them have distinct wording or demeanor about them and it would be fairly easy to pick out.

Yes, I have noticed how sometimes I find myself knowing who posted a discussion before I read their name. I tend to identify different people with certain types of discussions and titles as well as by expressions and phrases they use and their writing style. It goes to show how well we do come to "know" each other here, doesn't it?
