shoulder dystocia

Any other mums on here had this experience with there children being born?
My 4 yr old was as stuck as a cork in a bottle, when they finally got her out she was gray and limp it was the most frightening experience of my life, luckly she is a healthy 4 year old... and i am a happy mum :)

My son was a large baby. He was 9lbs 2oz. He was stuck also, but it was because he had torticollis (a tightened neck muscle) so he literally couldn't get his head turned in the right position. It took my doc a few minutes of furious tugging to get him out. They checked him for broken bones afterward. Luckily he didn't have any. I agree, it's very frightening. Did she have bruising on her face? My son had huge bruises on his forehead, nose and upper lip.
