i got this respons from another post: copperkitten wrote : "drink fluids, all friut juices and nectars, bouillon, broth, fresh or frozen plain yogurt, friut dinks, liquid meal replacements, strained lemonaid, strained or blenerized soup, tomation or vegetable juice and water. no sugary drinks lik pop. my mom lost 30lbs in two weeks doing this" so all my research on liquid diets, it they really do work. mostly fruit juices or drink becuase the really cleanse you out. but there is no guarntee to keep that you'll keep the weight off when you start eating solids again. but im going to try it. =]

That sounds interesting. I may try it. My friend said something about two or three different ingredients in water and that was it. No fruit no nothing else. It made her tired but she lost a lot of weight that way.

hmm well good for your friend, but i haven't heard anything about just water. without some sort of calories, you'll actually gain weight instead of losing. so i suggest fruit drinks and stuff with very little calories, but liquid. good luck! =]

30 pounds in 2 weeks! now thats fast weight loss. I might be able to do that for 2 weeks. Actually I think I would get real hungry after 3 days, LOL

I've heard of something that stars were doing as a liquid cleanse that was lemon juice and cayenne pepper, and (I think) maple syrup. Sounds pretty gross to me, but I'm sure it would clean you out, and presumably the syrup would at least somewhat appease hunger. On the Gayle King radio show she was talking a lot about something called Blueprint Cleanse that she buys in Connecticut and drinks as a quick weight loss measure. It's different cleanses and they have nutrients etc in them so there are some minimal health benefits. I just don't know if I could do it, or any of them really. I have had gallbladder trouble and I did a three day liquid gallbladder cleanse that worked well but I got very sick of having only liquids, particularly since it was mostly organic apple juice. The first few servings of it tasted great, just like biting into an actual apple. By the third day I was very ready for some solid food!

That's it! Lemon juice, cayenne pepper and syrup! I couldn't remember. I'm thinking about trying it but don't know if I have the willpower for it.

I've never heard of this.I think lemons can be dehydrating. Make you drink more fluids.

There are some really good articles online about fasting and juice fasts. Fasts can be very good for you for many reasons. You will most likely lose weight but more importantly you force your body to burn toxins and fat for energy, thus making you feel much better during and after it is over. Personally I fast from time to time using the old school method. Just water and herbal tea with no more than 2 tablespoons of raw honey to sweeten it. I will usually fast from 4-8 days. After about 48 hours of no food, you are no longer hungry. Just be warned that there are lots of highs and lows involved due to cleaning out your system and and burning all the crap for fuel. for a juice fast, its reccomended that that you buy fresh vegetables and use a juicer (not a blender) to extract the juice. A juice will remove all the bulk and fiber that you dont want in your system. Hope that helps.
