do affiliate programs or are they a waste of time

I am looking to start trying to make money with affilite programs. I've been burned to many time buying into "You can work for a couple of hours a day and make £1000s.
So what do you think, can you actually make enough money to work from home from your computer online selling affiliate programs, whats your experiences, how did you do it.

I do not think there is any program where you can work just a few hours and make $1000s. I don't think it's realistic. Do I believe you can make money? Yes, I do. But as with jobs or businesses you start outside the home the ones you start from home are You get out of it what you put into it. You have to work them to get anything out of them. Quick Fixes are usual a waste of time. Find one that really matters to you. Something you wouldn't just put aside.Then you may find success.
