Is it just me or is this totally insane? All it's causing is havoc on us that do sell. Sales are slow now due to this and seems that it's not going to change a thing. There really isn't any use in doing it. I don't know but I decided to stay out of the strike and yet I am still losing money. I feel that it's making everyone lose instead of winning anything. Yes, it's plastered all over the news but does anyone really think ebay will change their minds? They have been through it before and it didn't change anything so why do it again?
I am also a blogger on ebay and that has also slowed down and everyone is stressed out over this deal. There are actually people that try to make a living on ebay and for some it actually did help. Of course now... this situation has put a huge damper on that. So... I guess the question is this... How do you really feel about it?

I WAS a small time seller on greedbay, I started my boycott as soon as I first heard about EVERYTHING they are doing to once again, bend the sellers over. I am DONE!! I discovered loudfrog.com. I started selling on there at the beginning of Feb. Its not an auction site, but a store. Its FREE and they only charge a 1% FVF. With EACH listing, you get 4 pictures, 30 day listing, they rotate all the stores so that all of us get featured..
On loudfrog.com, I am greedbayrefugee http://www.loudfrog.com/seller.aspx?UserID=26148
Check it out to buy or sell, then spread the word

Hmmm I will stop by and check it out. The only thing I have a problem with is I kind of like the choice of auctions lol.

I just heard something about that. I was really wanting to try to make a living off of selling on ebay. Its a tough market to get into. I have done some selling, haven't had any auctions lately. Its tough for us sellers to make any money. I lost money a few times and made a few bucks at other times. I don't have much to add to your discussion, just wanted to lend my support and offer sympathy from one seller to another seller.

Thank you Polly for stopping by. Yeah it's a little awkward on ebay at the moment. Very weird.

I don't think itt will change anything.I donn't know what affect it is having as I haven't got a lot listed at the moment.I do live of selling online, but not just Ebay. The only place I heard about it was in forums on another site. There is certainly nothing (that I'v seen) on the news out here (Australia)

If sellers begin to stop listingitems because buyers are buying or not enough buyers are going to the site to drive up prices, then eventually EBAY will feel the pinch. It isn't something that is going to happen over a weekend or a week.
Unfortunately, there will be buyers looking for bargains because of the "boycott" and all this will end up doing is hurting the sellers even more.
I closed my shop down a few months ago because of rising prices in shipping materials, postage and a collectibles market that is hurt by the economy. I won't be listing any items on EBAY, short of jewelry that hasn't sold or really can't be broken down for for re-use... so basically, I won't be using Ebay to sell much any longer. The way I see their new fee policies, they hurt the small seller that doesn't have big ticket items to sell.
There's always ECrater to turn to....

I get what your saying. It's just everything is falling apart on there. It's really a sad case.
