Hello co-mylotters, I am just curious to asked, what endearment word you use to address to your love ones. Me and my bf use to call each other Darling and then added with nickname. My parents has endearments too, my father usually call my mother Nay and mother call my mother Tay, but when they have quarrels or misunderstanding, they use each other names. My sister use to call her bf Pa and her bf call her ma. How about you?

'my sweet caress'' is my favourite. But I go through each day tryiong to think of two for the day. Not actively, it just happens. Always a rude and derogatory one, mainly go for the easy ones containing 4 letters. Then I come up with classics nice and clean, often humorous. They come at me from the twlly usually. Like say on only fools and horses programme. If my partner does something a bit thick- bangs his knee or sumatt. Then he gets called trigger or rodney, even dave. If he messes up dinner then grandad. He's irish so in the kichen ''my little potato head'' and if a bit fired up then what's wrong with shouting out mick?

My husband and I use "honey" a lot for each other. It's kind of funny because it's to the point where we couldn't call anyone else "honey" because it doesn't feel right. I sometimes get really funny looks because I'll talk about him to other people and say "my honey" instead of his name. :P Any number of other various endearments pass between us depending on the mood. "Dear" is pretty much always reserved for sarcasm, as in "Yes, dear" or "I'd love to make you dinner even though all you've done is play on the computer all evening, dear." I have a friend who adds "gumdrops" to the end of my nickname. It's very cute. :P

A lot of people think I'm male. It happened even when my avatar was a female anime character instead of a male one, so I'm not sure what causes it. I figure it doesn't really matter which gender people assume I am, personally. :P I'm really bad about using nicknames and endearments in public, to be honest. I have no shame!

I don't think using endearments in public is a shameful thing. It is showing your love one he is special. I am just not comfortable with it.

Before I really thought you are a man. But now that you said you have husband, now I know you are a girl. Maybe it is because of your avatar. When I am with somebody or in public, I never call him or address him with our endearment as I am not comfortable with it. I only call him darling, it we are talking, just the two of us. When I do talk about him to other people, I just say "my bf". :P

My husband and I call each other honey, sweetheart and babe. And like your parents let there be an argument then we use each other names. My grandsons call me nana and they call my husband grandpa West. My husband called his parents Pop and Maw.

Hello Queen, Yeah, when arguments came, I notice that most people do call a person in their real names and not in their nick names or with endearments words they are used to be address. I have no grandchildren, but I have already two nieces and they sometimes call me Mama sometimes Auntie.

My parents term of endearment is Nyor. Wonder what that meant for my folks. But for me and my special someone we call each other Love. It is fun to hear especially when it comes from the one you love. Right?

Yeah, that would be a good way to let your love one feel he/she is somebody very especial.

We call each other different nicknames depending on our moods. My husbands name is Gil but most of the time I call him Gib. That is what his family calls him, I don't quite know why though. I also call him hon, when I am in a loving mood. I also call him Gilbert, when I am mad at him. He calls me sunshine if in a loving mood. He calls me Hell when he is mad at me. He says I act like hell when I get mad at him and yell at him.

My hubby and I call each other baby. We don't call each other by our real names, even in public. We did it even when we were dating. The only time we call each other by our real names, is when we are upset with each other.

I like to have forms of endearment in a relationship and not only calling by your name as it have a more personal touch. An ex-bf of mine and me call each other MAHAL. Another ex-bf, he calls me MINE - as in I am his and also he got it from my nickname - like that but didnt like him now. Hehe. But I liked best was my latest ex-bf wherein we used to call each other BHE. Its a visayan call of endearment i know wherein it means "dear".
