When the person you like isn't ready to commit.

Do you ever feel like your just wasting your time? You do all that you can do, to the attention of that one person... Just to find out all they see you as is a close friend? This recently happened to me the person I became interested in happens to value our friendship together more than anything else right now. He is not ready for a committed relationship. I mean how am I supposed to feel? Respect his wishes and move on while staying his friend? Or wait until he is ready? Because honestly I don't want anyone else.
