At the time it came out it was superb. In 1992 or 1993 I would have to Say Uncharted Waters:New Horizons. You could sail the entire world, play with seven different characters stories...meaning seven different endings. Each game could be played upward of a 100 hours...giving and unprescidented 700+ hours of game play. Each character had a reason for going where they went. One was an adventurer, another a map maker (Cartographer), a pirate hunter, a pirate whose husband was killed or taken (that is part of the reason for her story), and then Joao who is the main character who searches for the great lost city (continent) of Atlantis. The game was pretty darned awesome. You could trade between cities to build your capital, and even bank what you had. You could have up to six or seven Ships, and each ship had a captain and crew and food and water. the best ship was the frightful and powerful War Galleon, which was hard to make and was found in a select few cities after spending money on the cioty to bring it under your countries rule. The more money you put into the scity the more likely you were to get awesome weapons, items, or even ships. What really made the game the best amongst all that, was the fact that no matter what character you played as you would cross paths with the characters from the other stories even if only briefly and a storyline would follow them. And lastly was the search for pirates and wars against other countries and Maps you searched on...that game rocked, and kept me busy for a long, long time.

I went to Limewire and they explain the only way to get a game like this is through Koei, the company. I recomend checking the online version out if you get the chance, because I have such respect for Koei and their game making ability I can't see it being bad at all.

There was a computer version I played both versions. Nintendo and Computer version and computer version was better.

Best for me r PES 5 and Mafia.
hv u played Mafia?? Its like a controlled version of GTA. Has to be one of the greatest ever!

Well to tell u the truth I believe Mafia is in a league of its own. the story and characterisation are mind blowing. If u wanna get it try downloading frm one of the torrent sites.
Which I'll be doing after i finish downloading Pro evo 6 :P

Farcry and Half Life 2 r one of the best ever!!
luv both!!
And abt the cheat thingy u r right. When playing HL:2 i gt stuck got frustrated and used the god cheat. After moving on tried to turn off the cheat and i couldn't find hw to do tht!!
And it killed all the fun in the game. Had to restart frm the first level!! Hvn't plyed HL2:episode one yet. Tell me hw is it??

well hav U played the thriller breath-taking levels of DOOM 3?give it a try too..I m sure U will be scared to play some of its levels...but one thing ..play without cheats like i do..then u will not see but feel the actual thrill n x-citement.

i like strategy games.....i loved the age of emoires and AOmythology....
i also enjoyed RON.
i will try to take up stronghold next....maybe try heroes too after your positive feedback.
