As some of you may know I am going through menopause. Being so young the medication gives me acne which I have been dealing with for a year and a half. I have tried everything and some acne treatments have made things better some worse.
Recently I was surfing around and saw the Mario Badescu site and was checking out the products there. I filled out a questionaire to see what products would be right for my skin. Well I was pleasantly surprised that a few hours later I got an email from them saying that they would send me free samples for my skin type. Awesome!!
So a week later, I got an envelope full of great sized samples and this stuff is magic. It worked within 5 days to clear my skin up. While my skin isn't totally perfect- who's is?- it has greatly inproved. The prices are reasonable but not as cheap as the drugstore..
This is the best I have recently found for acne..if anyone has tried it please post your results.
If you haven't tried Mario Badescu products, what have you tried that worked for you?
Thanks for reading!

I'm glad you said your age range. I have been having hot flashes for over a year now and I feel that I may be going thru PM, I'm 39. My husband thinks I'm crazy and too young. My face is driving me crazy, not with acne with with dry skin peeling around my nose and forehead!!

I have combo skin and they are working for me as well. I wish I had discovered them sooner though. :( Thanks for stopping by.

I haven't tried this. It sucks to be an adult with acne. Weren't we supposed to grow out of this by now?
I use proactive and it really works well for me. Until I stop, that is. But I love the stuff.

That worked for me for awhile and then it just stopped all of a sudden it was weird. But I did like it. Thanks for your response.

Hmm... I checked out the website for those products, but they seem expensive to me. Then again, I'm broke. :P
I haven't found anything that works for me all the time. Proactiv did for a little bit, and then I used Clearasil stuff for a while, and then a couple of different face soaps from a company called Lush.
They all worked for me short-term, but then they'd stop working. Right now nothing seems to work for me. *sighs* Stupid acne.

It sucks I know! Is your skin oily? If it is PM me and I think I can help you out- but if I told you on here it may be against the guidelines?? I don't know but I don't want to run that risk- LOL.

I am also going through menopause. Actually, only like a year now. I am just starting to get the acne. I am going simple right now with white toothpaste. Just dab it on it. For some reason, it dries the little suckers right up. (At least on me). I have been doing this for about 3 months now. I have no complaints, except the smell. Do they make 'non mint' white toothpaste?

I don't know that's a good question about the toothpaste. A great idea too I might have to give it a try just to see what happens, very interesting! Thanks for the tip.

A few years ago when I was still having occasional acne problems Avon had come out with a great cream for it. The only thing was they stopped making it! I thought I could give you a few words of encouragement though - once you get through menopause if you're like me your acne problems will pretty much go away, so hang in there!

I really wish my face had the same problem as my back. I break out around my bra straps but only in the winter time. You would think I sweat more in the summer, right?
I hear everyone tell me how great this product or that product is and I go out and buy it and it does NOTHING for my back. The one zit I get a month from consuming too much chocolate when I have cramps goes away over night with some of the great products I got hoping they would work on my back but so far nothing has.

I used the stuff they gave me to dry the zits up along with a mask on mine and they are almost gone already. Every winter I have the same problem..I use neutrogena body scrub every day to clean my back and then the zit drying mask. It rocks for the stubborn back zits. I was shocked myself and it does suck..:(
