I bought a ACER that is made in China laptop when I studied MBA in States. It works good. Now I am back to China with that laptop. It runs good except that it is very easy to get hot. When it is hot enough it will shut off. I don't know why.

An old (by age of technology) Acer TravelMate 2423NWXMi. Bought it back in 2006 for about $700. intel Celeron-M 1.5GHz, 256MB RAM, 60GB HDD, DVD-RW DL. Have upgraded the RAM to 1GB and HDD to 120GB, though. Pretty weak by today's standard, but still does the job for me. :)
