What do you all think about Martin Taylor's of Birmingham tackled against Eduardo of Arsenal? I've watched the video over and over and I think it is a delibrate tackle. I guess that's the end of his football career. Arsene Wenger has every reason to be angry with Martin Taylor though I'm not a big fan of Arsenal. What do you think?

Of course not. It was a bad tackle, but I still don't think it was deliberate. Eduardo was too fast, Taylor was late. Unfortunately, people are going to judge him by the seriousness of the injury. With a bit of luck, he would have landed better and even might have been able to continue the game. As it is, people are yelling all kind of stupid things. Obviously I wish all the best to Eduardo and hope for a fast recovery, but banning Taylor for life???? Besides beig inappropriate, it would create a horrible precedent.

I agree, although, a bad tackle it didn't look deliberate. It's so sad to see a player suffer this kind of injury and I wish him well. I remember years ago watching(and it was right in front of me) a tackle from George Best (then of Fulham) on Ian Evans(then of Crystal Palace). Evans broke his leg and Best was accused of doing it on purpose. It wasn't, but, being a Palace fan we all wanted to blame someone. Evans even said later than it was an accident, even though it effectivily ended any chance of a career in the higher leagues. This was Taylors first red card and he has very few bookings this season, so, it would be out of character for him to have done this on purpose.

I think that Taylor not doing it on purpose, it's just like other common tackle in the game...It is just Eduardo's bad luck..But I concern about recently soccer game, a lot of players being injured..I guess we need more new protection gear, for this sport..something that can prevent an inured like that..Altough I'm not the fan of the Gunners, but I wish that Eduardo will be back soon....

I was also horrified at the Eduardo injury but to ban somebody for life unless there is absolute proof of intent is over reacting. this is why the two footed challange/studs up should be outlawed. with todays pace tackles need to be accurate and some defenders will use the rules to take a player out (eg portuguese chelsea man)
