I have not noticed anything like this. I think all my friends are equally smart, they may be better than me but all are clever. I think I have never judged BRs on bases of friendship, but always as per what they deserved. Most of the time I have given BR to those who are not on my friends list but have given impressive replies. This is how it should be ......and I am sure you will agree with me.

I usually don't bother with whose response it is when giving a BR and try not to be biased about my friends when giving them. A few of my friends do give very good responses to my discussions but most often someone who is not on my friend list gives a better response and I give them the BR. That doesn't mean that my friends have not given deserving responses....I wish there was some other way besides BR where we could show that the responses are really good. The people who get '+' never really know that they got them.

I try very hard not to be biased when awarding best responses, I always go on the content, interest and the thought taken, as well as the advice and the information relevant to the discussion before looking at who's response it is. So in truth there isn't a particular person who always gets more best responses from me. I see myself as fair, and I have been known to award best responses to newbies in the past!

Well for me its the content of the response that matters most. I have my friends all scattered over here in mylot and I'll never be partial to any particular of them.
