Dear friends, I have been away from here a lot. Among the other things, I finished my book and sent it to some editors. I wish I could publish it, but it seems very difficult and unlikely. Anyway, I am here keeping my fingers crossed and I am very satisfied with my job. I wish you could read a sample of it, just to give me your opinion, but I write in my native language, that is Italian. As soon as I have time I am planning to translate something into English, so to have the opinion of my beloved mylot friends. Keep your fingers crossed, too, please.

Congratulations, Maribea! I've started dozens of novels know, and yet, I haven't finished a single one! I did, but I wrote one in my native language too, (which is Tagalog--the national language of Philippines) but the notebook was lost and I can't find it. I joined NaNoWriMo, EditRed and other writing websites, but I can't really finish a novel even if there's a prize involved! My schedule is very hectic and I hate it specially when I'm not in the mood to write but I really want to finish a novel. I think this is a big accomplishment. Congratulations again!

This sounds great! A novel written by you! I hope I'll can read it soon. But why don't you publish it on the Internet? You won't get the same profit as the paper, but you'll gain something :) In Italy you can use Studenti.it to release your work, I don't know how to do in other countries/languages.

Wow, I know this is a bit "late" but I want to offer my congratulations nevertheless.
I personally think it is a feat to write any decent-length book.
I had a trilogy (fantasy story) planned and wrote out some of the main plots. But when I got to typing, I don't think I even got past the first chapter. :(
Way to go, Maribea! ^^

Dear Maribea, I do hope you will get great news from an editor that your novel will be published. If not do consider publishing it online as there are several places to give that a try at. May you have Luck of the Irish during March. (And always)

dear tess thanks for being so kind. I know there are places where you can publish your book online, but for some reason this year I decided I wanted to be read and published after having been writing and writing for my eyes only for all these years. So I am trying and seeing what happens. I am writing a new book, a better one I think, and while writing I will be waiting and see if somebody loves my first little book that is a sort of joke for me.

Hello Maribea! So happy to hear that you finished your first novel. I remember how you said you wanted to write one. Have you received any notification from any of the editors? Perhaps if you were to get the novel translated into English you could send it to one that publishes in English. Keep us posted as to what is happening with it. Big Huggers to you.

my dear friend, I am happy to read from you again. I am very busy so I am not here as much as I would like to.
This is just my idea: translating it into English one day or another in order to try to publish it in English. The fact is that I haven't made up my mind yet. Have it translated by someone else or try translating it on my own and then asking only for proofreading? I will think about it. The fact is that I am on my way towards another novel. I have written many pages and I am carrying them with me during my Easter holidays. I hope to have enough time to read them, give them an order and see what else to write and create. I am so thrilled. Of course I promise to come here and post any news..
I am writing a lot this period. Just finished a poem I am very satisfied with. It is dedicated to my new dance mates..I have to find time to tell you about my new dance classes. and maybe I can translate my poem into English and have your opinions.

Hi Maribea,
It is so nice to hear from you. I am happy that you were able to finish your book. Can wait to read it in English.
Non parlo Italiano bene, so have to be in English.
I have been very busy with my work for the last 6 months as well.
I am checking places in Europe to move in. I miss Europe so much. My friends from Italy tried to convince me about places in Italy, but I am not sure if I can start without learning Italian first.
I want to be in warm places, because winters in Chicago are so bad now.
I will try to finish my remodeling and rent my house, take my animals and fly away...lol
HUGS,
Pola

It is good to hear from you! I have missed your sweet spirit. The important thing is that you accomplished writing your book. Most of us never even get that far. Congratulations for doing something so monumental, and having the courage to send it in to be looked over.

P.S. Love the new picture you chose as your avatar!!!

my dear mimpi I have just read your article about Keat's love letters. I was so intrigued!!! I don't know much about this and seeing that I love writing letters and correspondence I am planning to go further in the study and reading of this wonderful correspondence!!!
By the way my book is about the correspondence about two friends...so we have still much in common: we both love correspondence!!!

Ciao Maribea..It has been so long. Avere il presentimento che tuo libro sara un successo. I say that it will be a success because I just know you put your heart and soul into it. With your strong passion for writing, I'm sure your book will touch many people. By the way, I have always had a list of baby names in case I ever have a child and the 1st name on my list for a girl is Isabella. I hope you can send me a passage in Italian.
I missed you. Congratulazione.

my dear friend I am so happy to read from you. I have first to publish my book and then think of it becoming a success!!! Anyway, writing it was such a pleasure to me that I have already my reward. I only hope to publish it in order to share a part of me with others. Isabella is the exact name in Italian even though in my book I preferred to write the title like this: Cara Isabel because I have a friend that I call Annabel even though her name is Annabella and so I wrote Isabel when deciding the name of the character!!! Of course Isabella is a wonderful name!!!!
