New to Blogging.. HOW??

Hi guys, I'm kind of new in the blogging community and I really have zero knowledge about blogging. I saw the Smorty website and you can earn there through blogging. However, upon reading the FAQ there, it's still unclear to me how to do it, especially since the terminologies used there presume that you have the basic knowledge for blogging. Can anyone point me to a very good site which explains blogging. I would prefer a short/simple and easy to understand explanation of blogging. Or maybe you can explain the basics to me. I believe blogging will help me earn money and that is my goal! Thanks!

Blog is very simple.
you go to blogger.com sign up just same as you sign up a email. Then you just choose the template you like, after that choose the element you like. After that, just sreate a post and write what you want to write
