Leaving GM as a mechanic....anyone else?????

I have been an auto mechanic for about 10 years now and my current dealer is being phased out by GM. I have seen drastic drops in labor times over the past few years and I am distgusted by it. My question is: Has anyone else left GM for other mechanics jobs or have you gotten out of the field all together? I always thought dealerships were the place to be, but warranty work is killing us slowly. What is the best dealer to work for? What other jobs can we get outside of the automotive business?
