I love Art and Music, actually I excel on that, i remember some of my art projects were posted on the wall because it's so good.. I dislike Science especially Physics and Chemistry, it drove me crazy solving science problems and formulas. I like Math too, it's interesting.

I am pleased that you were so good at art that your projects were posted on the wall. I like to listen to music but I can't sing and I can't play any instruments. Yes finding Science formulas bored me. Maths can be interesting if the student understands it.

I loved maths and english as well as geography, well I guess I've always had the travelling spirit in me! I always loved reading as a child, and was always encouraged well so I excelled, I had problems with my grammar and punctuation but my spelling was my speciality! I was always praised on my spelling. I loved solving problems like fractions and equations. I hated science with a passion, especially chemistry and physics which bored me rigid!

Yes, I think we both had the travelling spirit in us. I am pleased that you were praised for your spelling. Grammar and punctuation can be challenging for some students. I was good at percentages but awful at problem solving or fractions. Chemistry, Physics and Biology bored me so much I asked the head teacher if I could do another subject instead of Science I chose Religious Education. I love reading as well.

My Favourite was Geography, Home Economics and Art. I was banned from History and had to do extra maths as I clashed big time with the tutor, however I really enjoy the history channel now, cathcing up on all I missed out on I expect. I didn't really mind any of the others and was captain of the netball team and ran for the county so I suppose I must have enjoyed PE too. Ellie :D

My favorite subjects were math, science, accounting and similar things. I did not like the "heavy reading" subjects like philosophy, theology, and similar subjects. These kind of classes kept me from getting a nursing degree when I went to college the first time. I couldn't get anything out of them because I couldn't see where they applied to anything.

If you swap those around you pretty much have me.
I loved math -- everything in life is numbers.
I loved science -- the world is science (or the other way around).
I enjoyed PE -- it challenged me to be a better person physically (ended up second in my whole school in the mile run at 8th grade).
I HATED French.
I wasn't much of a Geography buff, of course now I am much more so.
I didn't like history... too much memorization.
I did like English... I now cannot stand people who can't speak it properly (another post is out there about that).
Thanks
Zelo

my favorite subject in school was sociology as it deals with people and their interaction with the real world and other people as well. So from there you can see that there are many factors that affect people and not just psychological factors alone. In fact Sociology and Psychology, which happens to be my second favorite subject in school actually go hand in hand.

Thanks for starting this post!. My favorite subjects were Math, English especially British Literature, and Science. I disliked History and Geography. I do not know why. It seemed to me that those are easiest courses ever, yet I despised those courses. I just had trouble grasping the concept of some historical events. It was just mind-boggling to remember all those dates and characters for me. In science, for instance, I can deal with it because I easily apply every theory or concept to real life situations I face everyday. I find a hard time doing that with History. In the case of geography, I just did not feel like learning all those small nations who were not that significant in the world arena like Yemen, Bhutan, Solomon Islands, etc... I am not saying these nations are not important, but I usually have a hard time learning about real small nations who do not have a lot of issues in the world.

When I was in school, I liked English and Biology. I liked English because I was good at it. As to Biology, I liked it because I was very interested in the creatures. I didn't like Politics as it was quite boring. I remember when there were Politics exams, sometimes I would have a fever because I was under a heavy pressure to this subject.

hehe and Math was my favourite and today I am still very good with numbers. I have also found that math had helped me a lot with my carreer. I used to work in an office enviroment and it was a lumber yard and I used to do the invoicing and pricing so knowing my math was a big plus for me.
I also like English and Physical Education and was the team captain in volleyball and basketball and baseball for three years in a row when I was in grade 7, 8 and 9.
I hated History and Science and Geography. I didn't mind French but I didn't continue with it after grade 7. I didn't feel I would ever need to know it, so I quit taking it.

My favourite in school was History. It is a living subject and I could still recalled how our History teacher taught us history. She told the story instead of teaching us. But we understand the content better rather than just teaching facts.
I like all the subjects however I disliked a few teachers that did not put much effort in teaching us before.

I can't remember primary school that much, although I would say that reading, spelling & art were my favourite subjects.
In high school, from years 8 to 10, my favourite subjects were maths & art.
In years 11 & 12, my favourite subjects were biology & geography.
Good question.

I used to love Art, Math and Science. Hated all History classes (World & US). My last Art class was actually a one girl class, just me, kinda boring and couldn't get away with anything. I nearly failed History, but that's okay, I've never been good at remembering dates.

Yes, I could not stand MATH. I can still remember my mother standing over me forcing me to do my math homework. She used to push me very hard but I was most ignorant in math and my brain would just shut down if I had to do algebra..how could x equall a number?
Yes, I liked Social Studies and kissing girls. But that was all. I learned to not kiss girls when I got married as my wife frowned on this. lol.
but i still hate math..it gives me a headache..thanks for the post...

I liked language classes. As we are in India, we have to learn atleast 2 languages. One is English and the other is either mother tongue or the language of the state, or the National Language. Our national language is Hindi and I opted to learn it as the third language and my mother tongue as the second language. Also I loved to learn history and geography, both national and international and my secret passion during school days was to become a curator which didnot materialize.
I cannot tolerate Maths and Science (all branches).
