I saw other people posting their poetry so I thought I would post one o f mine. Do what you will...
"Sunny Flordia"
Why are we drawn
To That which distroys us
Like old people
Are drawn to Flordia
We find it beautiful and warm
Perfect in everyway
Till the hurricane comes
To blow our house away
So we rebuild
Dig a deep foundation
Because it all looks so hopeful
The weather man smiles big
Promising sunny skies
Besides, why should a little wind scare us away
It's so beautiful and perfect
Who cares how long it takes to rebuild
It's too wonderful to leave
Over and over
The rain violently falls
The wind rips and tears
Lightning crashes
What you worked so hard for
Lies on the ground in peices
We have to rebuild
Brick by brick
When will enough be enough
Isn't it time to back the bags, and leave the east coast behind?

Hey! I want to take my vacation to Sunny Florida this summer! Dang it poet! As if I weren't afraid of hurricanes before. J/K hun, it is a beautiful poem and so true.
Florida must be a wonderful place to live if so many people would make the sacrifices many of them have to to stay there.

lol. It's not that bad, as long as your just visiting. I lived there for 4 years, The first month was great it went downhill after that. I know there are perks, no state taxes, no snow, um.....thats all I can think of.

This is a good piece, however the first two lines:
Why are we drawn
To That which distroys us
lead me to think the poem was going to be about something totally different like not so great relationships, bad foods, bad thinking etc.
But it was a good poem I enjoyed reading it.
