Where Do You Take Your Pet Dogs/Cats When They Die?

This may sound so eccentric but I'm actually wondering what other pet owners do when their pets died. I just want to prepare for the future of my pet dog, Stitch. She is already old now, been with me for like, four (human) years and white hairs have grown on her black fur. I love her so much that I'm planning to buy a small lot for her at the PAWS site (Philippine Animal Welfare Society) where they offer burial sites for pets.

We buried our dogs in our backyard when we had to put them to sleep. It gave the kids some closure we thought. We had planned on living there a long time. Then we had to move and of course decided to leave them there. I didn't like the idea, but seemed the best choice. It was a tucked away place and hopefully won't upset the new owners. We never met the new owners by the way...

i think the ownwers wouldn't know that pets are buried in their backyard unless they dig in the ground. but i think they might be in horror when they find animal skeletons there...

My family has buried pets in the backyard as well. We are not supposed to, but they are our family and we don't want to just throw them away.

yes, and i think even animals deserve a decent burial just like any other living being.
