I heard that this is one of the top fears that people have. I don't really have a problem with it. Yeah, I get nervous and all, but once I get started, it's not too bad. I was asked by one of my former profs if I would speak to a couple of her classes today. I said that I would, but that was before the laryngitis bug hit me. My voice is stronger today, so I should manage it. Originally, I was under the assumption that this would be a class of 30 or so students. I heard Friday that there are 300 in the section. In a way, that's better for me, because I'll have a microphone. I'm gonna have fun!
How about you? Do you like speaking to large groups of people?

I don't used to love speaking in public. Since I joined a public speaking club and made the program worked for me, I can stand in public and can manage my nervousness. It is somehow true that when your audience is quite new and you feel some inferiority, you just can't trust yourself to talk to them and that is putting some stress but when you learn to put that confidence in yourself, you can do it big time.

Some people say that the skill of public speaking is one that is acquired over time and with experience, however that does not seem to be the case for me. I have had quite number of opportunites to make presentations but most of the time, especially with large groups of more than thirty, my nerves would get the better of me and I would freeze up on stage.

I think few people have the talent of speaking in public without any tense.we can overcome this problem by doing more exercise.I'm a teacher, but from the very beginning I
felt very uncomfortable and nervous in front of 50 students. Now I like speaking to my students ang I like my job!

Yes, public speaking is something that most of the people dread. it is a tough skill as i guess. I musty confess I am not that much good at public speaking. I feel a little bit of afraid initially. But after i start i am in a flow. its very good that you are comfortable in it.

I absolutely hate speaking in front of crowds. I was one of those that in school dreaded having to get up in front of the class for any kind of report o presentation.

me too. I love to speak in public. Well, I will get nervous for the first 30 seconds, but that's it. Once I get comfy or into my speech, I am totally ok. One tip that I can suggest for a beginner is to have your friends or someone you know to sit in various area among the audience. That way, you can shift your view from one area to another area, indirectly catching the attention of the audience and also making you comfortable.
