I have read a few discussions here about ebay.com increasing their fees and I dont know what to believe!!!! I have received an email from ebay.ie stating price changes too, but they are reducing their insertion fees by up to 33% and final value fees by up to 40%. I cant understand why .com are putting them up, and .ie are cutting them......

The are slightly decreasing their listing fees.
However, they are significantly raising their final value fees; the percentage they charge the seller once the item is sold.
Ebay took the shameful route of marketing this fee increase as a fee decrease.
Look the new fee schedules over carefully on the Ebay site; read the fine print about how they are increasing the final value fees.
I say shame on you Ebay!
There is a boycott of Ebay this week in repsonse to this shameful trickery!

Final value fees went from 5.25% to 8.75%; that is a hefty increase.
They lowered insertion fees by what, a dime??

go over to their forums and have a good read, then sign up
No I am not affiliated, no links no username here just highly p***** off with ebay and paypal.
I have been using ebid.net in tandem with ebay for two years, then gave up ebay alltogether 8 months ago
haven't looked back

I got that email too and am so confused, they're just reducing fees on one thing and sneaking them into another. It's killing me because I'm trying to sell stuff but I seem to be getting money then half of it going to fees. Shame that it's probably the most well known site of it's kind.

ebid.net is becoming well known now and it is because ebay has shot itself in the foot. Many disgruntled sellers have gone over there already and are taking their customers with them.
If you are afraid to leave ebay, run your ebay account in tandem with your ebid.net account at first.:)

I think that ebay is struggling to keep afloat. They have had a lot of complaints about their failure to help buyers and sellers in disputes. I should know, I have lost about $80 in the last 6 months because of dodgy sellers and ebay doesn't even respond when I complain!
