Fickle Friends

Being 17, I still like to use the term "best friend" to describe some of my buddies. However, one of these happens to be really fickle. He has quite turbulent relationships with his other friends, and when he isn't talking to them he's constantly making plans with me and always wanted to hang out. As soon as he makes up with his other friends, he will only speak to me or meet me if he wants to boast about something, or wants a favour. Does anyone else have these kind of problems with friends? It really does frustrate me, and I'd love some advice and stories so I can decide whether I should just let him get on with it, or try and talk to him about it. Thank you for reading x

Hi emiibeth, Welcome to myLot, I hope you will enjoy your time here and make a lot of new friends, You can make a little money here as well. Now, on to your discussion. There are many people like your friend and most change as they get older. He is probably very unsure of himself, although he may act like he isn't. If it frustrates you too much you may want to speak to him about it, if not let him figures things out for himself. We are all different. Blessings.
