hello: I have a daughter-in-law who did this dispicable act when my son was in the hospital in very critical condidtion, she kept calling and begging this other man to meet her, well after about 3 or more times he agreed, which ended in the birth of a grandaughter, she has a older brother which is about to turn 6 and I want to know from others why a person would do this? It has broken both mine and my husbands heart, we don't know whether to get close to this baby because we are almost 100 percent sure she is not my sons and the fathers mother is pushing this with a paternity test which will be at the end of this week. Why would someone do this??? don't they realize what this is doing to my grandson who I am sure is mine???

My heart goes out to you and your family. I hope your son is doing better as he is the one who will have to really deal with this. She was very uncaring, disrespectful, inmoral, and selfish to name a few things (but I can think of a lot more too). The child is innocent and should be loved and treated just the same as your other grandchild. You don't have to like her but instead take your cue from your son. If he forgives her then you should too so as not to creat more conflict in his or your family. He will need your support to get thru this especially if the baby's father is trying to paternity. God bless you all and I hope things work out for the best.

I am sorry that she has done this to your son and grandson. As for you getting close, it is not the child's fault. I would treat them both the same. I am taking it that your son has stayed with her. If he did, he forgave her, and they need to work things out, but the children are the innocent one.

wow that really stinks. i'm sorry for your family to have to go through that. I'm sure the fathers family is sorry to have your grandson go through that, but if that guy is the father of the baby, he deserves to have the chance to raise is daughter and get to know her. It wasn't right what they did, but its done. Now all that is left is to make the best out of the situation.
