I'm Italian and I live in the main province, which produces rice in Europe. I eat rice in different ways: the risotto: Fry onion with a little butter and are thrown away the rice, then cooking rice adding the broth and put the various ingredients (mushrooms, vegetables, meat etc. etc.) than i love rice salad: Boil the rice, and adding which you want what you want: tuna, olives, peppers, wuster, cheese and dress with mayonnaise.
and you? how do you cook rice?

It is a italian dish you fry onion and oil to pan and you put the rice, simmer a few seconds and then continuing to cook with the broth, until rice is cooked. You can add vegetables or mushrooms.
It is very very good!

The best way in my opinion is plain steamed white rice. But rice is perfect in and of itself but can be enhanced in a number of ways. ^_^

In my country, rice is the primary food we have. We ususally cook it plain but there are others like java rice. I have my own recipe using rice as the main ingredient. whatever I have in our fridge such as carrots, beans, hotdogs, tocino and all that -- I would slice all of that and fry a little then put the rice. Mixed it with some Chili sauce then it's good to go. It's my favorite. Yummy. :)

In the Philippines, rice is a main part of every meal. Most of us have rice 3x a day. Some have bread for breakfast. We usually have steamed rice together with another dish. For breakfast, we Filipinos like fried rice... that's with garlic. No matter how we cook the rice, as long as the dish that comes with it is good, we all enjoy rice.
