I was cleaning out some boxes that I had stored away from my teenage years.. I use to collect quotes growing up and would hang them somewhere in my room. Mainly to give me a little encouragment. (I have to admit, it was a 6th grade teacher I had that really got me started on positive quotes and sayings. She had a big impact on my life) Anyway, I came across this saying that I had written in big, bold letters.. "It's never to late to be who you might have been" (by George Herbert). Seeing as I am in a very transitional point of my life...this quote brought alot of hope to me. I feel like I'm not yet where I'm supposed to be. There are alot of things I regret..and hope to change in order to provide a better future for my son and also to just enjoy life more. In a way, it was a strange reminder of all the things that I wanted growing up..kind of throwing me back to reality. Maybe even reminding me not to give up..There are so many things in life that are discouraging that this quote just gave me a burst of new energy. What do you think of this quote? How does it make you feel?? I would love to hear!

That quote is inspiring. I still collect quotes from the Reader's Digest and stick them in a book (which I go through often).
I strongly believe in the quote you mentioned (though it's the first time I've heard it). I'm still working at who I might have been....so I know exactly what that quote means...and I know I will not give up trying to be who I have to be.

Yeah..I forgot where I even heard it. Im guessing school..lol..It made me want to start collecting them again. Just going over a few everday can definitly lift the mood. I am right w/ you on still working on "who I might have been"..Its funny how when we were kids we set up an image of what we want to be and the things we want to accomplish as an adult. I think the only thing Ive done that i wanted to do is become a parent. Looking back, I really was a dreamer. I have many hopes for the future...its just reaching and fulfilling them! Thanks for your response!

yeah..and even tho reaching one of my goals wasnt planned *cough cough* lol..it still was fulfilled. Now it seems that even tho the end result has changed a bit..my main goals are still exactly the same. It's just so crazy how fast life goes..there just aren't enough hours in a day.
