how much to pay the babysitter?

how much should i pay a babysitter hourly for a four month old baby in califonia? is minimum wage (6.75) sound too cheap?

I would round it off to 7.00. It depends also how old the babysitter is.

I dunno but when my mom got babysitting for me she always give the babysitting bout 50.00 for a night like 8pm to 3 pm

I would pay according to one's age, if it were a 13 year old i would maybe pay $6 an hour, 21 and older, probably $7.50, or maybe even more depending on how well he or she did.
