what supplements are you taking for high cholesterol? Is this in addition to medication or instead of medication?

I don't currently take any supplements for high cholesterol, but I know of one. The supplement is fish oil. This is supposedly meant to lower troglyceride levels in the body. Some studies has shown that it can lower triglycerides up to 20% in people with high cholesterol levels. Since this is just a supplement, it should be in addition to medication rather than instead of medication.
