The Western COnference has so many good ball clubs and the possibility of a back to back title for the Spurs is fading because of the raging lakers and the silent hornets.

Spurs will definitely have a hard time winning a series against other strong clubs. the at the west now are very strong, most of them even upgraded their already strong lineup like Suns acquiring Shaq, Lakers getting Gasol and Mavs adding Kidd to their lineup. this seasons battle for finals will be a very good one at west side because most of the teams are qualified to play at the finals unlike west that is very much easy to predict who will be going into the finals it will be Boston, Pistons or Cavs but in the west you Spurs, Mavs, Lakers, Suns and we also have to watch the Rockets, Jazz, New Orleans and the Warriors.

Spurs have beaten the suns in the past but I think it will be harder this time because shaq does affect the spurs game more than marion. I really don't see the spurs getting to the finals. Their getting older and teams are getting better and younger. If the rockets can keep their streak alive the next 4 or 5 games their confidence will be supreme and could be tough in the playoffs. Usually whos playing the best towards the end of the regular season wins the most in the playoffs and at least gets to the finals.
