Do you avoid a friend who is drunker and drug addicted?

I have one friend who is really a drunker. She likes to smoke like guy, and a day, she can consume 5 box marlboro. Hmm, that is why, her mouth is smell with smoke and beer. I don't know how to treat her, its her habit, she wanted to change, but never change. I'm tired to tell her, how she should behave. Should i avoid her? Anyway, i still want to be her friend, but i also want to help her. For the drug addicted, i just wanna ask you, maybe you had any experiences with friend like that. I just wanna ask... How about you, do you avoid or you will try to help them? Or maybe you also try to drink and use drug?
