Timmy's Roll up the Rim Contest!

Roll up the Rim - to win? Or try again?

I just saw someone with the extremely identifiable Roll up the Rim cup from Timmy's and I have to admit I'm a little sad because I'm heading off to the middle of nowhere for 3 months in a few days and won't be able to participate. I only ever win donuts or free coffees, but I still think it's a fun contest if you drink a lot of Tim's. Has anyone won anything yet this year? Anything big in years past?

I lived in Canadad for a year and thought that the roll up the rim contest was fanastic. I won a free coffee the one and only time that I managed to get one. We didn't have one in our town but I got one when I went throw to the city and the best thing was the cashier ended up messing up and we never paid for our food or drinks so winning was even better. The truth is though I never went back to claim it but it was still good to win. You will just have to wait for the next one. McDonalds sometimes do things like that but they make it so difficult to win cos it is like the board game Monopoly and you have to try and collect the different game colours.

I always win at least 2 things every year in the contest! It's great! I HATE the McDonalds Monopoly game. It only runs for like a month and in that time I'm lucky to win a free small fries, much less actually collecting any complete sets of game pieces. Plus, I don't eat at McDonalds enough to merit it. ALTHOUGH, funny story: When I was in 5th grade, one of the aides in my classroom actually WON the Million dollar prize the Canadian contest was offering. I don't know that they're still receiving installments for the prize, but I know they blew the first bit on a flashy sportscar that the wife ended up writing off within a month.

it just started yesterday and i've already had 8 cups. and out of the 8 all i won was 2 coffees. last year and any year all i ever won was coffees cookies muffins or doughnuts. i never won anything big. and to tell you the truth i think the prizes this year suck. other than the coffee and food prices the only thing that goes any good for me is the timmies card. i don't have a license so the cars no good. i don't have a car so the gps is no good. where in the world would i use a boat with having no license and no card to get anywhere to use the boat? lol. i was hoping they would have the money prize again this year like they've had for many years. i could put that money to good use

*LOL* I suppose you could sell the car or the boat and use that money to pay for something you could use or to take a trip, right? I enter lots of sweepstakes for vehicles hoping to win for that very reason, even though I don't drive either.

i suppose you could but i was told a few years ago that you had to keep the car for at least 1 year. and we are planning to go visit my dad this summer (if we can save up enough money) and that $1000 timmies usually offers as a prize would be a bigggggggggggggggggg help. we have 3 little ones plus me and my husband so its gonna cost a pretty penny to go

I am in the USA for a couple of months, so I'm liable to miss the contest too. what a shame! While I like the coffee from The Second Cup better, I do enjoy the coffee at Tim's on occasion, and I love playing the contest.

I like The Second Cup as well, although I'm not even a coffee drinker. I like tea, which is why I generally tend to go to Tim's for a double double steeped, but if I feel like splurging, one of the Green or Chai Lattes from Second Cup is lovely, as well.

I love the contest usually but this year I really have no desire to "over" drink coffee to see if I win anything. I have a vehicle, I dont really need or want a boat. The GPS would be ok since I'm driving to Newfoundland this summer but I can always buy one. The Tim's card would be ok I suppose, we have one with money on it already though LOL. My hubby won the camping set on the roll up the rim to win 3 years ago. Its an awesome set too. I wish they still had things like that now. You'd think with the price they charge for some of their things the prizes could be better. Ah well :)
