What has been the hightlight of your day today?

For me it was making chocolate chip cookies. Yes exciting but it was fun making them and licking the spoon and bowl too LOL Just as well my hubby is away at the moment as he wouldn't be able to have any. I also went for a walk in the rain/cold to the FedexKinko store to courier a document to New Zealand to renew my son's passport. Even though it was a little cold, it was actually nice to get out of the house and get some fresh air. How was your day today? Anything special happen or out of the ordinary?

I am so sorry to hear that it is raining and cold over there. It was raining here for the weekend, but today is like summer. You are a hopeless chocolate lover aren't you? I wish that I could bake when I wanted to, but then I would be bigger than I am right now, hehe. More to love, haha.

haha I rarely bake Rozie and when I do I have to be in the mood. Because Matt is away its a good time to have a treat before he gets back. Can't have them when he is around because he's diabetic.

It would be extremely cruel to bake and eat them in front of him.

The best thing was probably my daughters face when she found the money the tooth fairy left under her pillow for her - the only other exciting thing to happen was we got our electricity meter replaced - the man who did it was really nice though! xxx

How sweet and exciting, I bet she was very happy :) We are still waiting for the Gas technician to come and read our meter (4 months later) but they promised us they will come March 13th and even called to confirm twice!!!! So fingers crossed they come and we get this all sorted out. The technician on the phone was extra nice too :)

I am hoping that the highlight of my day hasn't happened already! I woke up in a bad mood, like I knew somehow tody wasn't going to be good. Then my daughter went to the doctors and we found out she has an ear infection caused by the sinus infection she also has. She is almost 2 years old. Then I found that the only working ATM card that we have right now was left in my back pocket of the pants I wore yesterday. I went to get it today and someone must have stepped on my pants because the card was bent to a 90 degree angle. We went to an ATM after straightening it and it doesn't read anymore. So, tomorrow we have to go order another one. Nothing special or extraordinary has happened today. I am hoping it gets better though. My husband has the next 4 days off, maybe something good can still happen today.

Awww I know the feeling waking up in a bad mood, happens to me quite often. Sorry to hear that your daughter has an ear infection, they can be nasty and the pain they go through too, not good. Hope she gets better soon. I have gone through a couple of ATM's cards too, often left in my back pocket and when I sit down, snap LOL It's a hassle too because you have to go into the bank to get the $$. Enjoy the next four days with your husband, I sure its bound to be better than today :)

Thank you. It did get better...well the next day was much better! Not only did we find an ATM that the card would work in until the new ones get to us, we found a store closing that had one of our favorite brands of clothing marked way down! It was very exciting. I LOVE to find a great bargain! Thank you very much for the best response! :)

This is going to be a bit funky, but the day before, my body ached so bad with the flu that all I could do was get up hit the bathroom and go back to bed and sleep. The very fact that I got up, got myself dressed even though I wasn't 100%and got out of the house let me know that I was back in the groove(somewhat)and I went somewhere to clear my head and enjoy a nice meal. After going through this, I can only say I feel for those who are chronically sick and want to do things that can't necessarily do but just can't. I wanted to do some things in my room, and my body just wouldn't cooperate with me.

Awww no, it seems like the flu bug is going around everwhere. I know how you feel though and getting out of the house sometimes does help. My son hasn't been well all weekend so I kept him home on Monday and then he went back to school on Tuesday. Now he is home again as his temperature is high again, his slight cough has gotten worse and now has a runny nose. He has been through so much lately and has had antibiotics also but this time round I am going to let it take its course. I should of gotten the flu shot for him.

I had a great day today. I attended my employment workshop. Most of the people attending have had problems in their lives which have stopped them from being gainfully employed. Here I was depressed, until I heard the stories of those in the class. I wouldn't wish some of their stories on anyone, but it made me realize that I am not alone and that when I think I have it bad, I should look around and be grateful for what I have, because there are people who have alot less. The class is great and after only two days has given me a much better attitude about looking for a job as well as a new perspective in how to interview. Even though I miss mylot, its a worthwhile task that I am undertaking.

Good for you kbourgerie. I am contemplating whether to find another part time job also. The one I had during the Christmas holidays didn't have any more part time vacancies available now (and besides the hours I requested they could not meet) so I have been looking elsewhere. My son is still my priority so the hours need to revolve around him and his schedule. I wish you all the luck :)

I have had a nice start to my day as well, I read and watched abit of the morning News. Then a neighbor friend came over for coffee and a chat. Now I am here. It has been a nice morning for me. I am off to visit my sister this afternoon, she had a big hernia fixed, yesterday. All went well, but she will be in the hospital for 3 to 4 days more I guess. Have a wonderful day everyone.

the highlight of my day was when I tried to help a client of mine with a job they wanted done, training someone for certification. I heard that they may not need the training because they had passed the test once in the past. I called about it and the information was right. Even though I screwed myself out of a job I got offered another one through the person I got the information from at twice the pay! The Lord is so wonderful!
