Well....what am I going to do? spank them? Throw 'em into next tuesday? they're 17. they should already know the dangers, the risks and how unattractive it is. it's disgusting and kissing a smoker is like kissing an ashtray. And they alway stink. clothes, hair, skin, breathe, etc. If that's what they want to do with their lives then that is their choice. they're almost 18, anyway. however, i wouldn't support their habit. I would stop giving them spending money, and i wouldn't buy cigs for them. They'll know I think it's stupid and that I won't support stupidity, but at the same time it is their choice and I will always love them no matter what, but,I don't always have to like what they do.

just not in my house and with my money..but don't let me catch you smoking in the john or basement ..keep your butts off my property...better be working and buying your own smokes and you are still my kid but i am very disappointed that you are doing something that has proven to be a health risk..but i still love you and you just respect me and my house and i will respect you..so follow the rules..it won't be easy but life is full of hard choices...good luck. ..boy or girl..don't matter..you are the role model..you are the parent...its up to YOU

In a word - NO. It's my house. If they want to smoke, they can leave my property to do it. Then they can do their own laundry and get a job to pay for the habbit.
