My birth name is Jessica Elizabeth. Honestly? I **LOVE** it! I was the only Jessica in my entire school (high school graduating class had 500.... in all 4 grade levels, we had 1900 students total) and I think it's a very pretty name. I still love it today.

I don't like my birth name that is named after one kind of tree. When I was 10 years old , I changed it to present name used until now. In Chinese, my name means a happy bird. I like it very much because I want live happily all my life.

My name has a unique spelling. Melodie. I think my mom watched too many cartoons-like Merry Melodies Cartoons and dropped the s-she swears she didnt though-LOL When I was young I always wanted keychains ect with my name on it but there was nothing like that. I love my name it makes me unique as not many people spell it the same. I did my daughter the same way. Her name is Alysha-unusal and unique just as my name is.
