The scariest one I've encountered is the Brown Recluse Spider. Before I moved to Tennessee I'd never heard of such a thing. However, when I was teaching in Tennessee, one of my little girls came to school with a terrible looking spot on her leg. I asked her what she'd done to her leg, and she told me she'd fallen off her bike. However, the spot kept getting larger and uglier, so I asked another teacher with medical training to take a look. She took one look and said, "That's a brown recluse bite. She needs to get the the hospital ASAP." I had never seen such a thing. She did fine after she saw the doctor, but after that I met several other people who had suffered bites. The horror stories they told of tissue damage were unbelieveable.

*shudders* I agree... and just try killing those things too! They're SO FAST. My housemate and I spent TWO HOURS one day moving furniture, spraying chemicals on it, trying to get it with paper towels, etc. I won't go near them... if I find them, I trap them under cups until my boyfriend is around...
My worst experience was one time when I was reading on my bed. I looked up to see a big one descending quickly from the ceiling onto me. I screamed good.

I despise (hate and fear apply here!) Wolf spiders! They are fairly large, as big as 6" across when chasing you. Very aggressive buggers, too - they chase, jump, and even corner you in a room. Never saw anything like it before. I had one back me into a corner and every time I attempted to get past it, it would jump in the same direction I moved, blocking my escape. It only took about two hours before I finally feinted right, then left and escaped with it hot on my trail. I made it out the front door and wouldn't re-enter until someone else and located and removed it from my home. Yuk!!!

I don't love any creepy crawly things! They should stay outside or in the ground or wherever they're from!

I could handle a pet snake, hold it, etc.
Buuut a few times I've been walking home from school and just stumbling upon a sunbathing large snake and THAT made me shaky. It was just on the sidewalk... and I live in Ontario, so it isn't as though this happens often. But our subdivision still has marsh areas and forest across the street, so although it's unusual, it happened. It wasn't fun!

I can't say I have an extreme fear of any creepy crawlies, though they do make me cringe to look at them.

I hate spiders and slugs. Slugs are just gross and slimey while spiders are just creepy.

I have never seen a cockroach in real life, so I can't speak of that, but I do know that I detest any type of large bug that has a crunchy exoskeleton...beetles and cicadas, things like that. I have no idea why. That's funny too, because we hike, camp and hunt all of the time. Those things just give me cold chills when I see them. Maybe because I know that when I kill them they will make an awful sound, lol.
