Rockets, Ming Yao.

Yao Ming's injury is a huge blow to the Houston Rockets' playoffs hopes. They won those twelve consecutive games with Yao in the line-up, and the main reason they won against the Wizards (for their 13th straight win) in their last encounter is that they never needed their big man for that particular game. Wins will have to come by much tougher means when they cross paths with the bigger Western teams (the Spurs and the Lakers, in particular). Furthermore, they're going to be battling for either the 7th or 8th playoffs seed, neither of which is a good enough position for them to be in if they want to advance to the second round of the post-season. The would need to get past the Spurs, Lakers, Suns, Hornets, or Mavericks just to get through, and none of those would be easy for the Rockets, especially without Yao Ming. It seems that Tracy McGrady's first-round post-season curse would haunt him again this year, and it's just too bad for him that this season had to screw itself up. I'm still hoping he could carry his team on his back, though, if just to prove he's capable of leading this Houston team closer to championship hopes.
