It didn't look like something I would be interested in so I didn't see it. Actually I couldn't tell if it was an animated movie or if the actors were real people. In some of the shots it looked animated to me but when I checked it out online I was surprised to see some of the people who were in it. I think I was especially surprised to see that Anthony Hopkins was in it since it doesn't seem like his sort of genre. Did you see the movie? What did you think of it? Did I miss something good and should get the DVD?

Yes Hubby and I both viewed it,we were sooooo disappointed.
It is a little like an animation, the best example I can give is of the creature in Lord of the Rings, can't remember his name, but he keept saying "It's mine"..lol
I can not for the life of me understand why Anthony Hopkins even considered the part.We walked out after thirty minutes, save your money.

It seems that popular concesus is that it's not a good movie so I'm going to follow everyones advice and not see it. Maybe when it comes out on tv for free I'll see what it was all about.

Yes I did and I didn't liked it too. It's more of an animated movie but it looks so real. I think i just saw Angelina Jolie 3 times in that movie. But I would say that the quality of the movie was good. It's just the story was so disappointing because we are all expecting an action packed movie just by looking at it's title.

I didn't see it because it was only loosely based on the actual Beowulf and it didn't get my interest, but something about it fascinated me anyway. Ray Winstone, the guy with the main part, is really portly, complete with a belly, and he is rather short. They made him have the awesome body with CGI! I couldn't believe they made the guy look so hot when he was not! I thought that was so cool.

I have not seen the movei, ctry, because I only get to see the ones I buy, and I'm on a budget. I have heard quite a bit about it however. I think it was filmed with a mixture of animation and some new technology. i remember the story of Beowulf from my childhood, and it was one of the most frightening stories to me at the time. I'm a fan of both Angelina and Anthony Hopkins, so I will probably end up buying it later.

The CGI was AMAZING. It is entirely CGI but you really can't tell half the time. Personally I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I was hoping. Definitely wish I had just rented it instead of seeing it in theaters. I'd give it an 7 out of 10.

I just saw it yesterday. I kind of like how it was made. It was different. I liked the action parts of the movie, but overall it was ok. It was good to watch the first time, but I probably won't watch it again. My husband says the book is way better.

You should definitely go and see it! I didn't think that it would be my kind of movie either, but I went to the cinema to watch it and it's amazing!
It was animated, but based on the actions and looks of the real life actors... I think... The animation is so good, it might even be a bit of a cross over, I couldn't tell. But I thought it was brilliant...
Definitely one to recommend and one of the best movies I have seen recently.
