does your cat have "c-attitude"?

one of my cats is a 2 year old tuxedo named sunny. and she's crazy...but in a way that makes me laugh. i think she thinks she's a dog. she chews on my shoes, and my shoe rack (she's torn the corner off) and she fetches...sometimes she runs full tilt around the apartment, straight at the walls and almost seems to run up the wall, flip over and run the other way. (she reminds me of the cat from the "pepe le peu" cartoon, the one that is trying to get way? -except she plays both parts) but i think the best examples of her "c-attitude" is how on 2 separate occasions she broke candle holders that i had. one was in the bathroom on the edge of the sink. i was in there brushing my teeth. usually, this means that she'll be sitting on the edge of the sink trying to "catch" the water, but on this day she was just running around like crazy...but she stopped in the bathroom long enough to jump up on the sink, use her paw to knock the candle holder into the sink where it broke, and run off. she wasn't playing with it or anything. it's like she jumped up there just to break it, because then she just jumped down and resumed what she was doing. the second incident was with a candle holder that was on a shelf in the living room. she had jumped up to where it was and i walked slowly over to her to try to pick her up and put her on the floor before she ran around knocking everything off. as i approached her she sat there, looking at me, but with her paw behind her reaching blindly to try to knock it off...then she just kind of glanced over her shoulder to see where the candle holder was, then looked at me like i couldn't possibly see what she was doing, and knocked it to the floor, where it broke. (good thing i wasn't too partial to either one of them...) wish i had a camera...

Cats are such fun to watch (when they're not sleeping). Our cat Sammy does some cute stuff too. When my husband is laying back in his recliner with the blanket on his lap it's fringe hangs over his feet. Often she'll attack the fringe. Sometimes she'll sit under his footrest and bat at the fringe.
Other times she thinks his elbows are playthings. He'll be just sitting watching TV and these little white paws leap up and whack his elbow. They'll disappear for a couple minutes and then do it to the other elbow. Mind you, my husband is not partial to cats, he only let her in the house because he knew the kids and I love cats. But Sammy's behavior makes him laugh.
One of the funniest things I've seen though, is when we had one of Boots' litters on the porch. And when they were close to being weaned the kittens would explore the porch. One day I heard a scrabbling on the door to the porch. I looked over and saw a little kitten face in the center window (the windows are just 5 inch square panes at the top of the wood door). Of course that sparked my curiousity of how a kitten's face was appearing in the center window up so high.
I opened the door and saw the kitten hanging for dear life by its claws on the door. Evidently it had leapt from the couch to the door. Maybe thinking it would fit in the window part? I laughed as I rescued it from its predicament. -Tink

that just reminded me of sunny trying to break my bedroom door down-if i'm inside the bedroom with the door closed or she thinks i'm in there-she will bang and bang on the door trying to get in...it's hilarious!

We have four cats and they're completely insane. Meowie is mellow but demanding, Jacket is fat and sweet, Corona is kind of a meanie and Juniper is so, so shy.
Sometimes I need to hang stuff up for my cats to really, really be able to kind of get the urge to beat stuff around out of their systems...

i have one of their toys tied to the end of a stick and love to make sunny chase after it. and she seems to have that urge every other day..it's so fun to watch. she's like an acrobat, doing flips and things in the air trying to get at it. flying through the air. the other one, karley, is much more subdued. she's like some uptight person, who every once in a while will let loose a little-throw her hair down and have at 'er....but just for a second because she can't get caught having some fun...
